Our Commitment
Since its inception in 1972 Ridgecrest has been committed to reaching out to the people of NSW to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We aim to support believers, churches, ministry groups and reach the unsaved.
In 2021, Ridgecrest Christian Ministries Inc. (RCMI) was formed and have an ongoing lease agreement with the Western Baptist Churches, who own the property, to maintain the site and continue the ongoing ministry that is ‘Ridgecrest’. As a ministry team we are commited to the original heart that was behind the inception of Ridgecrest.
RCMI Statement of Purpose is:
HONOUR God and to express His nature.
ACKNOWLEDGE God’s sovereignty and presence.
CHALLENGE all with the truth of the Gospel.
PROVIDE a safe and nurturing environment.
SUPPORT and EXTEND the purpose of Churches, Schools and Community groups in their programs in line with our Statement of Faith.
The ministry of Ridgecrest is ongoing and is seeing people reached with the love of Jesus all the time. To allow this to continue we are on the lookout for the ones that God has called to partner with us at Ridgecrest. Whether that is physically, spiritually, prayfully or financially. There are always ongoing ministry needs that require hands, feet & hearts - and we would love you to join us in this.
There are many different streams that have an influence in the ministry of RCMI - These include:
Maintaining the buildings, gardens and activities onsite.
Providing support to those that choose to have their camp here.
Keep up with the everchanging standards and expectations of protection, care and service at Ridgecrest
Look to God for direction and vision for Ridgecrest as we continue to serve him here.
Provide camps that introduce Jesus to those who don’t know him, encourage believers in their Christian walk and support our teams that run these camps.
Provide accountability to those on our Committee Members who have partnered with us in the vision of Ridgecrest.
Would you consider becoming an active member of RCMI.
Committee Members
Committee Members are elected from, and by, the Voting Members. They must be involved in a Ridgecrest Camp at least once every 18 months, and must have been a Voting Member for 2 years before being elected.
Voting Members
Voting Members are people with a real heart for Ridgecrest. They should attend a camp or working bee at least once per year, and adhere to the Statement of Faith. Their prayers and collective wisdom helps to guide the Committee on how Ridgecrest is managed. Voting Membership costs $20 per year and requires a reference from your church leadership. Voting Members are invited to the annual AGM and banquet.
Friends of Ridgecrest
Friends of Ridgecrest are an amazing group of people that support us in prayer and want to stay informed about what's happening here. They are invited to all Open Days and Social Activities. Its free and simply requires a name and email address.
